Biography
Michael Avedon is a photographer based in New York City.
He studied at the International Center of Photography, where he developed his foundation in image-making and documentary approaches, later building an independent practice grounded in both editorial and personal work.
His practice is informed by a strong awareness of history and contemporary events, often focusing on the relationship between individual narratives and broader social themes. His work is defined by an empathetic and attentive visual language, reflecting a versatile and considered approach to photography, where sensitivity to subject and context plays a central role.
